Dorothy Brakefield Onley

Mrs. Dorothy (Dot) Brakefield Onley, 83 of Rock Hill, SC passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill, SC. Born in Chester, SC, Mrs. Onley was the daughter of the late Hall and Louise Hudson Brakefield. She was retired from Celanese Corp. and a homemaker. Mrs. Onley was a member of the Oakland Baptist Church in Rock Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband; Howard Onley a brother; Gene Brakefield and a sister; Kay Byrd.

The family will receive friends from 4 - 6pm Sunday, October 18th, 2015 at the Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708. Funeral services will be private.

Mrs. Onley is survived by her daughter; Pamela Honeycutt and husband Randy of Fort Mill., two grandchildren; Angel Helms and husband Keith of Fort Mill, SC, and JoAnne Young of Fort Mill, SC and four great grandchildren; Chelsea Helms, Cody Helms, Scott Young and Zach Young.

Mrs. Onley is also survived by her brother; Robert Brakefield and his wife Joyce of Rock Hill, SC and her sister; Marie Morris of Rock Hill, SC.

The family would like to thank the staff of White Oak Manor of Rock Hill for their attentive and compassionate care.
