Mrs. Dorothy May Wright passed away December 6, 2009 at Piedmont Medical Center. Mrs. Wright was born In St. Louis, Missouri, June 2, 1921 the daughter of the late Marion Williams and Roxie Lee Weatherford Williams. Mrs. Wright was first married to Everett S. Stallings, Jr. who was killed in action in France during World War 11. Mrs. Wright was also preceded in death by her second husband of 48 years, Carl E. Wright, a daughter, Charlotte Ann Stallings Golightly and her great grandson, Zachary Golightly . She is survived by her son, Everett S. Stallings lll, and his wife Marion of Rock Hill, a step daughter Patty Wood of Elkhart, Indiana, grandchildren Mark Paul Golightly of Williamsburg, Ohio, Theresa Golightly Dickman of Williamsburg Kentucky, Garrett Sean Stallings of Rock Hill, Stephanie Stallings of Washington, DC and 3 great grandchildren, Bryan Dickman, Heather Golightly and Riley Stallings. She was a talented painter and enjoyed fishing and dancing. Mrs. Wright moved to Rock Hill in 2000 after living forty -four years in Tampa, Fla. A celebration of the life of Mrs. Dorothy May Wright will be conducted Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 7:00 pm in the Bass Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Monday, December 14, 2009, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Johns United Methodist Church in Rock Hill, SC. Bass Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Dorothy May Wright.
