Dorothy Lea Elizabeth (Copeland) Marze

Myrtle Beach, SC - Dorothy Lea Elizabeth Copeland Marze, 89, died Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at her home in Myrtle Beach, SC.  She was born on June 3, 1932, to the late Jessie LeGrande Copeland and John Dewey Copeland.  Elizabeth loved her family, puzzles, yard sales and soap operas.  She was very strong willed, but sweet at the same time.

Elizabeth married William (Bill) Marze, Sr. on January 25, 1953, in Newberry, SC.  They had 57 wonderful years together.  They were each other’s lifelong companions and friends.  They were blessed with four children, William Jr., Kenneth, Donald and Nancy.

She is survived by four children, William Marze Jr. (Robin Marze), Kenneth Marze (Mildred Marze), Donald Marze and Nancy Tyndall (Iben Tyndall); sisters, Elaine Henderson and Jessie Ruth Worthy; brothers, Harold Copeland and JD Copeland; five Grandchildren, Jamie Marze (Sarah Marze), Crystal Marze, Janice Martin, Stephen Tyndall (Tamara Tyndall) and Shannon Marze; three great-grandchildren, Devin Martin, Nelson Tyndall and Jack Marze.  She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Marze, Sr., sisters, Mary and Alice and bother, Dewey.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 29, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Whitesell Funeral Home, 975 Riverview Road, Rock Hill, SC  and a graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at Grandview Memorial Park – Hollis Lakes, 401 Hollis Lakes Road, Rock Hill, SC  with Rev. Huey Mills officiating.
