Douglas Lee Crayton

Douglas Lee Crayton age 71, of Rock Hill SC passed away unexpectedly Wednesday September 8, 2021.

He was born December 28, 1949, to Lee A. Crayton and Carolyn Mullis Crayton. He was preceded in death by his father Lee A. Crayton and one grandson Clifford.

He was a graduate of North Carolina State University, and a WolfPack alumnus and a great supporter of their activities. One of his greatest joys was being in the stands to watch them play football.

He was employed in the Industrial Medical Gas Industry and had many friends and Colleagues in the industry.

Survivors include the love of his life Maggie L. Crayton, his mother; Carolyn Crayton, one sister; Annette Mengert and her husband George, two sons; Lance Crayton and wife Regina and Brian Melvin, three daughters; A. Lee Crayton and wife Heather, Cindy McCrain and husband Patrick and Shelly Scaglione, ten grandchildren: Myca, Marissa, Cameron, Conner, Cory, Carter, Casey James, Leanna, Emily and Hollis. In addition to his family, he is survived by his lifelong friends Jerry and Susan Pinsker.

A memorial service will be 12 noon Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel.
