Steve Rayfield Douglas Steven "Steve" Rayfield, 67, of 725 Standard Street, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at The Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Rayfield was born January 6, 1942 a son of the late Bill and Evelyn Jackson Rayfield. He was the owner and operator of Rayfield Electric and was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his wife Brenda Purdue Rayfield ; two daughters Diane Rayfield Baker and her husband Kevin of Rock Hill, Melinda Rayfield Banks and husband Brandon of Rock Hill; a brother Mickey Rayfield and wife Ann of Rock Hill, one sister Sylvia Rayfield Gwin and husband Hartwell of Rock Hill; six grandchildren Tanner Baker, Taylor Melinda Baker, Kara Baker, Brandon Banks, Jr., Luke Banks and Alexa Diane Banks; a step-grandson Lawson Moore. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his sister 1094 Cardinal Drive in Rock Hill. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Rayfield will be held Friday at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park with Full Military Honors by the The American Legion Frank Roach Post 34 Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to The Wayne T.
