Doyle Evan Smith

Rock Hill - Pastor Doyle Evan Smith, 58, of 2230 Meyers Street, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Saturday, June 13, 2009, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Whitesell Funeral Home with the Revs. Ronnie Green and A.L. Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends at 433 Swallowtail Court the home of Brian Dellinger. Burial will be private.

Pastor Smith was born July 31, 1950 in Chester, SC and was the son of the late Thomas and Ruby Smith. He was the pastor of the First Foursquare Church in Rock Hill, SC for 30 years and retired early due to ailing health.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Brenda Bolin Smith; his daughter, April Lammonds and her husband Lane; his daughter, Tammy Siddall and her husband, Calvin; his granddaughter, Lauren Graham of Rock Hill; and four brothers and four sisters.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations may be sent to the home in remembrance of Doyle Smith.
