Earl "Hap" Arp

Earl "Hap" Arp, 85, of Rock Hill, SC passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013. Born in Akron, OH, Mr. Arp was the son of the late Earl F. and Pearl S. Arp. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and retired from Goodyear Aerospace after 34 years. Mr. Arp was a member of Tirzah Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Rock , and a brother, John Worley. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Adelaide Arp; 2 sons, William Arp and Richard Crandall (Geraldine); 2 daughters, Mary Virginia Arp and Christina Childers (Brian); a brother, Ervin Lee Arp; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Arp will be held 5pm Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Tirzah Presbyterian Church on Tirzah Road in York. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tirzah Presbyterian Church or to Hospice and Community Care.
