Earl Thomas Jackson, Jr. went to his heavenly home on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center.

Earl was born in Wayne, WV on August 11, 1945 and was the son of Earl Thomas Jackson, Sr. and Marjorie Ross Jackson Elliott. He was a graduate of Wayne High School and Marshall University earning a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Science, and Master of Business Administration. He earned a track scholarship and was co-captain of the Cross Country team while enjoying the college life including being a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity where he was Chaplin. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Rock Hill, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father Arlie Elliott and his brother, Danny Ray Jackson.

Earl is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Bonnie Lee Neff Jackson; son Travis Andrew Jackson and wife Melissa of Rock Hill; and his two grandchildren, Thomas Andrew Jackson and Annslee Caroline Jackson; and extended family.

Earl was an avid runner after his college years and enjoyed being a member of the Rock Hill Striders Running Club. He loved to travel and compete in many 5K and 10K races, and Half- Marathons and Marathons, with the Disney World Half-Marathon being his favorite.

There will be a memorial service at NewKirk Baptist Church on Monday, January 3rd at 6:00pm .
