Edith Clontz Bennett passed away June 3, 2011 at Unihealth of Rock Hill. Born in Lancaster Co. on January 26, 1911 to the late Isaac Bulow Clontz and Clarissa Moody Clontz. She was a Lifetime member of St. John's United Methodist Church, former member of Browning and Sykes Sunday School class, United Methodist Women, Cresent Shrine Auxillary of York Co. and was retired from Bennett Supply Co. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Shirley Bennett; brothers Dewey andMaxell Clontz and sisters Annie Mae Cauthen and Louise Davis. Mrs. Bennett is survived by nephew William F Cauthen and wife Joan of Rock Hill, niece Annelle Cauthen Courtney of Lexington, SC, Jane Ellen Lackman of Augusta, GA and Anna Crawford and husband Edward of Sullivan's Island, SC. Also several great and great-great nieces and nephews and one great-great-great nephew and dear friend Phyllis Moore A service to celebrate her life will be Monday, June 6, 2011 at 1pm at St. John's United Methodist Church. Rev. Debra Quilling Smith officiating. A private graveside service will precede the service at the church.
