Edith Pauline Humphries

Edith Pauline Humphries, 87, of High Point, NC passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Born in Woodruff, SC, Mrs. Humphries was the daughter of the late Ralph Benson Jennings, Sr. and Ethel Japarks Jennings. She worked at Lance for 30 years. She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church in Rock Hill, SC and she was a member of Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Steve Humphries; 2 sisters, Mildred Border and Barbara Starnes; and 2 brothers, Ralph Jennings, Jr. and William "Buddy" Jennings. She is survived by her husband, James Humphries; a brother, Eddie Phillips; 2 grandchildren, Tait Humphries (Leslie) and Larry McFall (Rebecca); and 3 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Ty Humphries, and Logan McFall. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Humphries will be held 2pm Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Rd. The family will receive friends from 1pm until time of service at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
