YORK - Edward Petty Sandifer, 73, of 238 Sandifer Rd., died Sunday, January 04, 2015, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, at Olivet Presbyterian Church in McConnells, with Rev. Chip McArthur officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of service, at the church. Burial will be at Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery in York.

Born in York, Mr. Sandifer is the son of the late John and Lena Sandifer. He was retired from Bowater and was Elder Emeritus at Olivet Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Aggie Wallace Sandifer; and the following siblings, Tom Sandifer (Edna), Charles Sandifer (Elaine), Beverly Sandifer Callahan (Tony), Wayne Sandifer (Nancy), Frank Sandifer (Brenda), Randy Sandifer (Carol); and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Jim Sandifer.
