Edward J Sehl

April 20, 1940 — January 9, 2017

Ed Sehl, 76, passed away on January 9, 2017 in Tega Cay, South Carolina. Ed was born on April 20, 1940 in Millville, New Jersey to the late Ed and Jennie Sehl. A 1965 University of St. Thomas (TX) graduate, Ed spent most of his professional life on the golf course. Elected to PGA membership in 1970, Ed was on the PGA tour in 1974. He later founded Ed Sehl Golf, Inc. to teach his love of golf to others and was honored several times by Golf Digest's Teacher Recognition for Best in State. He also trained PGA/PGM Apprentices at universities around the country and authored the book, From Ben Hogan to Ron to You.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Sehl of Tega Cay, South Carolina; his step-son Jeff Belmont of Pound Ridge, New York and grandsons Matt Belmont and Chris Belmont; his step-son Randy Belmont of Miami, Florida and grandson Ashton Belmont; sister Jackie Crowley of Austin, Texas; his nephew Matt Crowley and wife Ashley Crowley of Austin, Texas and sons Cooper Crowley, Cole Crowley and Townes Crowley.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11 am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina with Father John Giuliani, C.O. officiating. The family will receive friends at the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church Parish Center following the service.
