Edward Arlon Widrick, 77, of 8821 Island Point Road, Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Watertown and Lowville entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 11, 2011. He was born June 21, 1934, in Naumburg, New York, to the late Andrew M. and Nancy Leis Widrick. He attended Naumburg area schools. He entered into the Army on May 22, 1953, and was honorably discharged on May 5, 1955. He married Beverly Ann Lehman on October 15, 1955, at the Beaver Valley United Methodist Church. They resided in Castorland where he was employed by A.M.F. and Climax. He later worked at Beaverite Products in Croghan where he retired in 1993 after 32 years. He was also employed by Pinkerton Security and Lewis County ARC. After moving to Watertown, he worked as a bus driver for ARC. Mr. and Mrs. Widrick relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2004 where they resided with their son Keith and daughter-in-law, Tammy. Survivors are his wife Beverly of 55 years and their five children: Bruce, Glenfield; Mrs. Gary (Sherry) Cameron, Salem, Virgnia; Keith, Charlotte, North Carolina; Jerry, Fairfield, California; and Mrs. Brian (Jean) Austin, Elgin, South Carolina. Mr. Widrick is also survived by two sisters: Mrs. Ralph (LaVeda) Taube, Naumburg, and Loretta Zehr, Croghan, and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Albert, a grandson, Andrew Cameron, and a great-grandson, Jackson Hedgepeth. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed baking for his family and doing yard work. His no-bake cookies and buckeyes will be especially missed by his grandchildren not to mention the Christmas cookies. He loved the companionship of their dog, Missy. All of his children were together in June in North Carolina to celebrate Father's Day and his 77th birthday. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at 11:00am at the Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill, South Carolina.
