Elbert A. Thorstensen

Elbert A. Thorstensen passed peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, November 15, 2024.  Born on January 19, 1937 in Tyler, MN to Erik and Esther (Hansen) Thorstensen, the 5th of 7 children and youngest son.  After graduating high school in 1956, he moved to Milwaukee, WI.  In 1960 he was enlisted into the Army where he served 2 years active duty in Germany then 4 years in the reserves upon returning home.  Elbert retired from Harnischfeger Industries, Inc. in 2000 after 37 years.  He moved to Rock Hill in 2020 to enjoy more time with his grand-daughters and much warmer weather!

Elbert is survived by his daughter Sarah (Joseph) Kraft, two grand-daughters and many loved nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca (Schlosser) Thorstensen and 5 siblings.
