Elizabeth Cathryn Foster 08/01/2011-10/08/2013 Born of love, bred of compassion and faith, sweet baby Elizabeth Cathryn Foster returned to Heaven on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Blessed with a heart of gold and a spirit of unceasing joy, her human body fought valiantly for over two years until God reclaimed her following numerous surgeries to repair her omphalocele. Parents, Heath Foster of Oswego, NY and mother Cheryl (Hessney) Foster of Canandaigua, NY share their joy and sorrow with their daughters Sidonie Renee and Alexis Claire, their parents Phil and Betsy Foster, Donna and Steve Morris, and Don Hessney as well as their siblings Steven Foster and Carrie Hessney. Despite spending nearly half of her days on earth at Novant's Hemby Children's hospital in Charlotte, NC, Elizabeth's fight for survival while exuding appreciation for her caregivers and a genuine love of life has touched family and friends spanning the globe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The March of Dimes made in Elizabeth's memory to help other babies become miracles by defying seemingly insurmountable odds.
