Elizabeth “Libby” Bass Meadows, 61, of Fort Mill, SC, peacefully went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 12, 2022, while surrounded by her loved ones.
Libby was born September 10, 1960, to Carolyn Finley and Jess Burleson in Morganton, NC. After graduating from Freedom High School, Libby attended Appalachian State University to obtain a Bachelor of Communications, and then went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in business administration from Central Michigan University.
Libby was passionate about four things: Faith, Family, Football, and Fleetwood Mac. She was fiercely dedicated to fulfilling her calling as a daughter of Christ. Libby fervently loved her family and friends, and never missed an opportunity to cheer on her Clemson Tigers. You could also often find her dancing in the kitchen and singing along to her favorite Stevie Nicks anthems.
Libby was the strongest, bravest, most free-spirited, and loyal woman to walk the earth. She was a fearless leader who blazed trails courageously, without hesitation. Libby truly lived and loved life to the fullest. She was “Mama Libs” to many and exhibited the purest form of unconditional love to all she met. Her quick wit and ability to laugh easily made her the life of the party. Her warmth and willingness to extend herself to help others impacted many lives. She made a difference. She sparkled. She was essential. She is well loved.
Libby is survived by her husband and love of her life Donnie Meadows, children Nick (30), Carly (27), and Justin Gomez (31), her mother Carolyn Finley, and fur babies Max and Coco. Libby was predeceased by her father Jess Burleson, two precious pups Sasha and Bella, and her late husband Danny Bass.
A service to celebrate Libby’s life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 11:00am, at
