Elizabeth Socci

Elizabeth Socci passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, peacefully at home. Born in Queens, NY on April 14, 1940, she was a few weeks shy of her 77th birthday. Elizabeth is the daughter of the late Peter and Pearl Socci, and the sister of the late Anita DiRisio. She spent a large part of her career as a customer service manager in the health insurance field on Long Island, NY, and was very proud when she received her bachelor's degree later in life. Elizabeth lived most of her life in New York where she was active in the Women's Center in Huntington. She moved to Sun City in Fort Mill, SC five years ago. She was active in the Search for God and Mind Body Spirit groups there, where she connected with a core group of friends.

She is survived by her children, daughter Toni Dima-Becht (Jim) of Matthews, NC; sons Frank Dima (Lynn) of East Islip, NY, and Craig of Brooklyn, NY; life-partner Jim Faulkner; nephew Robert (Daisy) DiRisio of Orlando, FL. And of course the shining lights in her life, her grandchildren Marisa, Cameron and Sabrina Becht and Francesca Dima; great-nephews Robert and Peter and great-niece Adrianna DiRisio.

There will be a viewing open to family and friends from 11-1:30 and a memorial service following at 2:00 at Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill SC. Refreshments will be served after the service.
