Emanuel Dow, a vibrant and beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away on September 6, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on May 10, 1957, in Sanford, Florida, he was the son of Frank Dow and Theresa Williams. Emanuel lived his life with passion and energy, a love for learning and music, and an unwavering faith in God.
As a former trumpet player and a true lover of classic rock music, Emanuel’s life was filled with rhythm, melody, and joy. His loud and lively spirit made an impression on everyone who knew him. He often said he learned early in life that reading was important, and his thirst for knowledge never diminished. From a young age, he could solve complex problems with ease, seeing challenges from different angles and finding solutions others missed.
Emanuel’s skills in maintenance were second to none; he could repair anything and spent many years perfecting his craft. He later became the proud owner and operator of a successful property management and maintenance company, a testament to his determination, hard work, and dedication to his family.
Emanuel was an extraordinary father and an excellent husband, whose love and care touched everyone he knew. His memory will live on through his family, his work, and the joy he brought to those around him. Emanuel is survived by his wife, Marissa Moore Dow, and their four children: Horatio Dow, Aamayah Dow, Aarianna Dow, and Adama Dow. He is also survived by his older children: Emanuel Devon Dow (spouse Chelcy N Dow), and their children, Chloe N Dow, Mason A Dow, Gavin E Dow, Jacob E Dow; Christopher Dow and his son, Cameron Isiah Dow; Ché Boone (spouse Devon Peaks), and their children, Micah Boone and Israel Boone-Peaks; and Tiara Rogers.
Emanuel is also survived by his mother, Theresa Williams; sisters, Belinda Dow and Kathryn Shereen Anderson (Darnell) and their children Jasmine Anderson, Jayda Anderson; his cousins, Bridget Williams and Hope Williams; and his aunt, Priscilla Williams; and his uncle, Thomas Roberts Jr (spouse Debra).
In keeping with his non-traditional spirit and wishes, Emanuel will be cremated, and the immediate family will have a Loving Farwell for him at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home, 700 Heckle Boulevard, Rock Hill, SC, 29730. In remembrance of Emanuel, the family encourages you to donate to yourself. Conquer a fear, take a risk, learn a new skill, or continue becoming the best version of yourself, just as he always did.
