Mr. Cullis was born on Jan. 27, 1925, in Queens, NY and was the son of the late Lance V. Cullis and Lydia Bohland Cullis. He joined the Air Force and is a Veteran of WWII and Korean War, retiring in 1964 after 21 years of service.
He then worked for Grumman Aerospace on Long Island and was involved with the Lunar Modular Project. He was active in the Boy Scouts for over 20 years as a volunteer serving as Assistant Council Commissioner for Suffolk County Council, NY. Mr. Cullis was a member of the Rock Hill Masonic Lodge No. 111. On January 27th, 2025, he celebrated his 100th birthday. He passed away on April 3rd while in the care of Wayne T. Patrick House.
Mr. Cullis is survived by his wife, Tatyana Cullis; his daughter, Virginia D. Williamson of Rock Hill, SC; his two sons, Eric L. Cullis Jr. of Placerville, CA, and Roger V. Cullis of Rock Hill, SC; Grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
A Visitation Will be held at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home on Sunday, April 6th, from 3-5 pm
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 7th, at 11 a.m. at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home, with a Burial immediately following the service.
