Estelle Marie Chaney Bell

Estelle "Judy" Bell, 79, of York, SC went to be with her Lord Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 15, 1936 in Eden, NC to the late Lumas and Ollie Chaney and was a graduate of Morehead High School in Eden. She was retired from the York School District. Judy was a devoted Christian wife, mother, and grandmother with a kind and gentle soul. Along with her devotion to her family, she was a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a Charter Member and First Worthy Matron of Corthian Chapter #297 OES which she helped organize. She also had served Grand Chapter as a District Deputy and Grand Rep to Ontario, Canada. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant son Richard Alan Bell, her brother Wayne Chaney, and a sister Jane Clifton. Judy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas Bell; her sons, Larry Bell and wife Janice, of Rock Hill, SC, Barry Bell, of York, SC, Doug Bell and wife Cynde of York, SC; a daughter CeCe Devinney and husband Scott of Rock Hill, SC; her grandsons Tommy, Bradley; great granddaughter Victoria; great grandsons Darin, Lucas; and her precious Boston Terrier Katie. A funeral service will be held Mon, March 7, 2016 at 11:00am in the Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
