Estelle Bernadine Lipp

Estelle Lipp, 96, formally of Cold Spring, passed away peacefully in her home in Indian Land, South Carolina on Saturday, February 26, 2011. She was born January 12, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Stanley and Antoinette Klempka Novak. Estelle was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph. Together they were owners of the Miami Moon on Route 9, Cold Spring during the 50's and 60's. It was a unique summer place and unique to that era with a pool, restaurant, bar and cottages. Many Cold Springers can still recall fond memories of summer days spent there. After retiring Estelle lived in Hopewell Jct., NY and Sun City, AZShe returned to Cold Spring 10 years ago and had just recently moved to South Carolina. Estelle, a.k.a. Mom, Grandma, G.G. (great grandma) was special to all that knew her---gentle, loving, kind with an unforgettable smile. She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Linda (Jim) Mitchell of Indian Land, SC, Robert (Judy) Lipp of Los Gatos, CA; grandchildren Jeff (Elizabeth) Mitchell, Laura (Peter) Mitchell, Christopher Lipp, Melissa Lipp; great grandchildren Carly; and special Aunt Janina Skora. Services were held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Our Lady of Grace with Father John Giuliani officiating. Arrangements were handled by Palmetto Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Ft. Mill, SC.
