Evelyn Westerlund Hoffman

Evelyn Westerlund Hoffman, 75, of 763 McDow Drive, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Hoffman was born October 14, 1933 a daughter of the late Ernest Ward and Emily Frances Armstrong Westerlund. She was a housewife and member of Woodland United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hoffman was preceded in death by a son Patrick Hoffman and a brother Ernest Westerlund. Surviving are her husband James William "Bill" Hoffman, Sr., a son Jimmy Hoffman and wife Louise of Catawba, SC; two daughters Diane Steele and husband John of Anderson, SC and Peggy Fralick of Rock Hill; a sister Pat Vinson of Sharon, SC and a brother Roy Westerlund of Rock Hill; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00pm Monday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Hoffman will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm at Forest Hills Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Larry R. Parker officiating.
