Ezell A. Long, Jr.(“E”) was born to the late Ezell A. Long, Sr and the late Hester White Long Collins on July 8th, 1943. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, the late Peggy Archie Long.
He attended public schools in Rock Hill, SC, and was a member of the Emmet Scott High School Class of 1960. He received his associate's degree at Friendship Junior College in Rock Hill, SC. He received his undergraduate degree in education at Johnson C Smith University and his graduate degree from Winthrop University. He taught at several schools in the Rock Hill school district.
After retirement, he was hired by Hands on Equations to instruct teachers in math teachings traveling to different states. He was blessed to teach in Germany through this same program with the Department of Defense.
In 1963, he was initiated into the Alpha Omicron chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc at Johnson C Smith University. He was a charter member of Sigma Tau Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha seated in Fort Mill, SC.
He is survived by daughter Tanya E Long, grandson Kyle A Long and granddaughter Peggy A Long, brothers Rev. Paul F Long, Sr.(Helen) and Patrick D Long. Aunt, Dorothy W. Caldwell and Uncle, Rev Walter B White, and several other relatives and friends!
