Catawba - Mrs. Fannie Gardner Sexton, 71, of 4264 Cureton Ferry Road, died Friday, November 2, 2012, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rock Hill First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ron Fite officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and other times at the home.
Mrs. Sexton was a daughter of the late Waymon Clark Gardner and Almetta Ellis Outen Gardner.
Our mother enjoyed the beach most of all! She enjoyed walking up and down the beach and going into the shops. She also loved going to the river and cooking out with the famiy. She loved being with her grandkids. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the state parks, cookouts, walking throw the walking trails.
Our mother loved going to church more than anything. She loved her church family and our Lord Jesus. She worked with the Salvation Army for 25 years ringing the bell during Thanksgiving time and Christmas.
She loved helping other peopler. She loved going to the family reunions, the mountains, and being with her loved ones. She would do anything to help you if she could. That is what kind of mother she was. We all love her very much and are going to miss her very much!
Surviving are two sons, Grady Darrell Wright and Terry Wright; three daughters, Marie Mueller, Sandra Matuse, and Karen Hall; two brothers, Johnny Benson Gardner and Jimmy L. Gardner; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffery Wright and a brother, David Gardner, Jr.
