Frances Whiting Putnam

York - Mrs. Frances Putnam, fondly known as Nanny, 85, died Friday, September 15, 2017.

Mrs. Putnam was born in Gaffney, SC on November 4, 1931 to the late George Whiting and Ila Jones Whiting. Mrs. Putnam resided in York, SC. A daughter, Peggy Putnam preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters Margie Myers of the home and Kathy Williams of Fort Mill and a son Tony Putnam also of the home; five grandchildren, Michael Putnam, Kristie Myers, Dana Little, Scott Williams, and Kaylee Putnam; and six great-grandchildren, Alyssa Putnam, Kailyn Little, Emily Little, Bentley Putnam, Damien Putnam, and Olivia Little.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Whitesell Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery.
