Frank Ciardi

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and husband, Frank Ciardi, at the age of 83.

Frank was a true renaissance man: cultured, educated, worldly. He was also kind, full of life, and a devoted family man. From the rubbles of WWII, he rose to become a pilot and an engineer. He loved to cook, paint, and to read the Classics. He was always the center of attention at any gathering, but not because he sought it, but because he was always the most interesting person in the room. His stories kept you entertained for hours, and his food always warmed your belly and your heart. Frank touched everyone he met, and he will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Luisa, and their three daughters Elizabeth Ciardi (Juan Valencia), Theresa Sheehan (Martin), and Adrienne Guyett; and his seven grandchildren, Stephen Corby (Deanna), Ryan Corby, Caitlin and Molly Sheehan, Alex and Adam Gallagher, and Aidan Guyett.

The family will receive friends at the Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC from 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Tuesday, October 4. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 5 at 11:30 AM at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Fort Mill, SC.
Repast to follow at the home of Elizabeth Ciardi and Juan Valencia.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston Salem, NC.
