Franklin D. Brown

Franklin D. Brown, 82, of Rock Hill, SC passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 at his home. Born in Gastonia, NC, Mr. Brown was a son of the late John and Pearl Brown. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He loved people and he never met a stranger. Mr. Brown was a member of the Church of the New Testament Ministry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce Costner Brown; 3 daughters, Robin Koon(Donald), Karen Adkins(Chris), and Ramah Dixon(Chris); 5 grandchildren, Monica Johnson(Court), Amber Kee, Pierce Adkins, Reid Adkins, and Anna Dixon(Due in September); and 1 great-grandchild, Ella Harper Johnson. The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice and Community Care and Interim Healtcare. A graveside service will be held 2pm Tuesday, May19, 2015 in Forest Hills Cemetery. Following the service the family will receive friends at the home, 1743 W. Lakewood Drive Rock Hill, SC 29732. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Community Care P.O. Box 993 Rock Hill, SC 29731.
