James Fredrick Funderburk, Sr., 84, of Rock Hill, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. He was born July 6, 1933 in Rock Hill, SC, son of the late Edgar David Funderburk, Sr. and Annie Belle Funderburk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 67 years, Carolyn Funderburk; sons, Fred J. Funderburk, Jr. (Kay) of Rock Hill, John D. Funderburk of York, Dennis B. Funderburk of Rock Hill and Timothy M. Head of TN; daughters, Virginia Kay Newell (Jack) of York and Tina H. Nichols (Darren) of Rock Hill; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Monday, May 21, 2018 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Grandview Memorial Park.
