Gene Smith

Henry Eugene "Gene" Smith, 69, of 1812-108 Gingercake Circle, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 at his residence. A native of Plainville, GA, Mr. Smith was born May 11, 1941 a son of Camilla Irene Dodd Smith of Rock Hill and the late Henry E. Smith. He was the owner of First Funding in Rock Hill and member of Harvest Ministries Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving are his wife Loretta Bradshaw Smith; five children Faith Funderburke and husband Dwayne, Hope Powers and husband Craig, Kim Brazzell and husband Ron, Summer Haire and husband Chris, Brad Smith and wife Lissa all of Rock Hill; a brother Jerry P. Smith and wife Joyce of Nashville, TN; two sisters Joyce Lang and husband Bob of Ft. Mill, Carolyn Hamilton of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Hunter, Treston, Morgan, Macey, Will, Sierra and Abigail. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Smith will be held Tuesday at 4:00pm at Harvest Ministries Church of God of Prophecy with Reverend Gary Adkins, Reverend Kenneth Baker and Reverend Jerry P. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.
