Gerald(Jerry) Allen Davis, 62, of Indian Land, SC, died from Covid-19 complications on March 11, 2021 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida. He was born April 7, 1958, in Toccoa, Georgia. He was the son of Marion Frank Davis and Patricia Ann Davis.
Jerry graduated from South Mecklenburg High School, York Technical College, and Limestone College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He was married to his wife, Cheryl Bowey Davis, for over 40 years.
Jerry was an awesome son, husband, dad, brother, colleague, and friend. He was quiet, yet powerful. Jerry’s personality, patience, and sly sense of humor allowed him to befriend anyone in any situation. His willingness to help showed outward love to his fellow man through his volunteerism, from Church to Fire to EMS, to leading seminars at HRRVC rallies on proper inflation of RV tires, as well as correctly loading your RV. He was always willing to share his knowledge, serve as a mentor, and just listen. He actually loved his job, staying at Continental/General Tire for over 44 years. He gained friendships along the way and was highly respected by his colleagues from around the globe. Jerry had a love for traveling and camping in his RV. Many friendships grew throughout the years from those adventures. He had so much love for his wife and family! He was so proud of his daughters and son-in-laws! He adored his grandchildren!
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, April Bein and her husband John; daughter, Kelly Yates and her husband Joshua; grandchildren, Chloe Aldridge, Caylin Aldridge, Brynlee Grace Yates, Easton Yates, and Cayson Bein; parents, Marion Frank Davis and Patricia Ann (Morris) Davis; brother, Chris Davis and his wife Kim; nieces, Ashley Davis and Becca Davis. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Louise Davis, and maternal grandparents, Julian and Ida Morris.
