Gerald Richard Durham

Rock Hill - Mr. Gerald Richard Durham, 69, of 2872 Starnes Drive, died Friday, December 16, 2016, at his home.

Memorial services will be 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Whitesell Funeral Home with Rev. Gil Bailey officiating.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Durham was a son of the late William Ray Durham and Jane Smozynski Durham. Mr. Durham was a loving husband and father. He loved and owned his Harley Bike. He enjoyed working on old cars and trucks. He spent a lot of his free time sitting on the porch in his swing and working outside in the yard. He also enjoyed going to his church and spending time with his friends. He was an Army veteran. He retired from Springs Industries after 40 years where he worked as a warehouse manager and a market material screen printer.

Surviving are his wife, Amelia Hefner Durham; three sons, Jerry Durham, Jr., Shannon Flynn and his wife, Angie, and Kyle Hefner; a brother, Kenny Durham; two sisters, Debbie Lewis and Patty Durham; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a wife, Patricia Durham and a son, Brad Flynn.
