Geraldine P. Hill Brown

Geraldine P. Hill Brown, of Randallstown, MD passed away on March 28, 2017. She was a dedicated wife to J.B. Brown, with whom she enjoyed more than 40 years of marriage. She was an educator in the Baltimore City School District for more than 40 years and an avid reader, enjoying genres from true crime and romance to European history. While documenting her teaching experiences for instructional purposes, she encouraged her students to broaden their horizons through literature.

She earned a bachelor's degree in education from Albany State College in Albany, GA and a master's degree, also in education, from Morgan State University in Baltimore.

The talented educator was also a devoted mother to Kendal J. Brown (Sonya) and grandmother to their son, Kendal Jonathan Brown of North Carolina, and she leaves to mourn a committed sister, Jean Hill of New York and a brother, Calvin Hill of Georgia. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her parents, Precilious C. Hill and Hazel McCrary Hill, brother, Eugene Hill and more recently, her sister, Belverlyn Hill of Georgia. In addition, there is an enormous loss in the lives of her beloved cousins, Dr. William Berry (Dacia), Patricia Williams (Roy) and family, along with loving friends and partners in Christian stewardship.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 1:00PM in the Chapel at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708.
