ROCK HILL - Glenn Edward Spurlin Sr., 84, of 1665 Honeysuckle Pond Rd., died Friday, September 12, 2014, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, at Whitesell Funeral Home, with Rev. Phil Lemmons officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Born in Birchwood, TN., Mr. Spurlin was the son of the late Luther and Rosa Violet Thompson Spurlin.

He is survived by his son, Glenn Spurlin Jr.; three daughters, Patricia Starnes (Doug), Dorothy Sims (Gene) and Mindy Cawley (Jim); 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.
