Gloria Lonergan

Gloria passed away early Thursday morning, October 22, 2015 in Fort Mill, SC. Born May 22, 1936 in Rochester, NY; she was the daughter of the late Raymond Haskins and Gertrude Haskins Harnischfeger. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Elden A. Shell; her siblings, Elaine Ranney, Mike Haskins, and Bill Haskins.
Gloria moved to Michigan in the late 1950's and became a flight attendant for Capital Airlines. One of her fondest memories was being able to send her mother to Hawaii on her family pass. After spending many years in Brighton, MI and successfully managing and operating Texaco service stations, Gloria and Elden retired to South Carolina in 1983 and enjoyed bowling, golf, and socializing with friends. Gloria was fun loving with a heart of gold and especially had a soft spot for dogs and cats that needed adopting. She will be missed by many, especially her family. Gloria was the beloved mother of Kevin Shell (Dawn), Oxford, MI; Stephanie Shell Keaton (Brad), Fort Mill, SC and step mother to Jim Shell (Leslie), Riverton, UT and Gary Shell, Rochester, MI. Her grandchildren are Ty, Trevor, Veronica (Drew), Tim (Taylor), Megan and Merissa (Brendin). Gloria is also survived by her brother David Haskins, Geneseo, NY, her brother-in-law, Jack Ranney, St. Petersburg, FL and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home in Seneca, SC on December 5th at 2:00 pm.
