Gloria Mccullough

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria McCullough 63, who passed on Friday
September 16th, 2022.

Gloria was born on February 20,1959 to the late Alphonso and Lillie Lumpkin. She is preceded
in death by her husband of almost 41 years Charles McCullough and brothers Alonzo
(Red) Lumpkin and Albert Lumpkin.

After working for Celanese for many years, she was excited to continue her education and begin
her second career as a phlebotomist at Piedmont Medical Center. Gloria attended Nazareth Baptist Church from a young age, where she developed a passion for ushering. While attending Nazareth she met her late husband Charles, who was the love of her life.

Gloria lived a life of servitude where she always put others needs before her own. She will
always be remembered for her infectious laugh, smile and down right craziness. Anyone that
came in contact with her would be sure to walk away with a laugh. Her main hobby was
spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandkids ( better known to her as Pooh, Booty
Girl, Man, Ella Mae, and Boo Boo). She was also the Carolina Panthers #1 fan.

She is survived by her two children La’Keea McCullough Dawkins and Charles Anthony
McCullough ( Ajsonta) of Rock Hill, SC. Five grandchildren Brayden Culyan Dawkins, Layken
McKenleigh Dawkins, Braxtin Carsyn Dawkins, Ella Genelle James and Kliyah Jaymes McCullough.
Two brothers George Lumpkin and Kennedy Lumpkin both of Rock Hill, SC, Three brother-in-laws
Jerry McCullough Jr., Melvin McCullough Sr. (Mary) and Richard McCullough Sr (Phyllis) all of Rock
Hill, SC. Two sister-in-laws Betty Jean Collins (Joe) of Kannapolis, NC and Elizabeth Cunningham of
Rock Hill, SC and a host of uncles aunts nieces and nephews and friends.
