Grady Leon Jones

Grady Leon Jones, 77, of Rock Hill, SC went to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Jones was the son of the late Otis and Annie Jones. He ran his own plumbing business for years and was known for playing the mandolin with the Hillbilly Grits Band. He was a member of Adnah United Methodist Church and a Mason at the Newport Lodge. Church, family, and laughter were his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jo Anne Jones; 2 children, Nancy Kimbrell and Michael Wayne Jones; 2 brothers, Frank and Ervin Jones; a sister, Betty Sigmon; 2 grandchildren, Amy Hopkins (Jeffrey) and Jason Kimbrell (Jill); and 4 great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Tyler, Ella, and Blake. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jones will be held 2pm Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Adnah United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30pm Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Adnah United Methodist Church, Hospice and Community Care, or Shriners Hospital.
