Greta Chevrier

Greta Mildred Amos Chevrier, 88, Born July 20, 1926 in Lower Derby, New Brunswick, Canada to George Myles and Barbara Sutherland Amos. She had 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She died April 14, 2015 in Lake Mary, FL at her son's home. She was a long time resident of Rock Hill, moving there in 1971.

She married Emile Chevrier in Montreal, Quebec in Jan. 1955 where they lived for several years before moving to Maynard, MA for 9 years and on to Rock Hill, SC. She only left her home due to onset of dementia.

She leaves behind 4 children: Donna Duerden, Clayton (Carole), Alan (Susan) and Brian (Kristen), 12 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 4 great granddaughters and I great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband and all her siblings.

She was a homemaker, who loved talking about politics and doing jigsaw puzzles. She was proud of all of her children and grandchildren. Greta was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 2, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Rock Hill Ward with burial to follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
