Gretchen D Corsillo

Gretchen A. Corsillo, 87, of Rock Hill and formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, died, Sunday, January 19, 2014. She was a graduate of Mount Union College, Alliance, Oh with a BS in Mathematics. She also took various business courses at Cuyahoga County Community College in Cleveland. Mrs. Corsillo was first employed by TRW in Cleveland as an Executive Secretary to the Corporate Treasurer, then by Sardis Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC as the Secretary to the Senior Pastor, and lastly by the Jewish Community Federation as the Executive Secretary to the Executive Director/President. She was an active member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Gastonia, NC serving in various ministries and groups. She was currently a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Rock Hill, SC. Her family and friends were blessed to have her in their lives. She is survived by: Her husband of 61 years:Joseph A. Corsillo; 3 children: Karen VonCannon (Donald), Linda Richer (Ron), Joseph "Bo" M. Corsillo (Nicole); 2 grandchildren: Bryan VonCannon, Leah VonCannon Thelin (Greg); 1 great-grandchild: Jackson Thelin; 1 sister: Lynn Cathcart; 1 sister-in-law: Nancy Dormand A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 12pm Friday, January 24, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment will be private in Belmont, NC. Please honor Gretchen by wearing her favorite color, blue. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00pm Thursday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
