Harold Mason Mullen

Harold "Moon" Mullen, 90, of Westminster Towers, passed away Monday, September 7, 2009. A native of Lincolnton, NC, Mr. Mullen was born September 13, 1918 a son of the late Clyde and Alda Mullen. Mr. Mullen was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lou Mullen as well as his brother, Flynn Mullen and his sister Molly Mullen Kelso. He is survived by nieces and nephews. Moon was a technician with Burroughs, a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and a WW II Navy veteran. Moon was known for his sense of humor and charm. His passion for woodworking brought him joy in sharing his projects with his friends. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Mullen will be held Friday at 10:30am at Westminster Presbyterian Church Chapel. A graveside service will be at 1:00pm Friday at Elmwood Cemetery in Charlotte. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at Westminster Presbyterian Church Chapel and immediately following the service at Westminster Towers.
