Harvey Clay Johnson, 86, of Edgemoor, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024. Born November 27, 1937, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Howard Taft Johnson and Eva Dell Johnson. After graduating high school, Harvey entered into the United States Army where he served for a time in Germany. Harvey made a career in truck driving and was known for his detailed carpentry. When not on the road or working on projects around the house, you could find him watching NASCAR or going to races or fishing with his son-in-law and grandson.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife, Lenora Johnson; daughters, Rhonda J. Watkins and her husband, Dennis, and Cam Roos and her husband, Chris; grandchildren: Taylor Watkins and his wife, Amber, Sarah Becht, and Hannah Heilbrunn and her husband, Max; great granddaughter, McKenzie Watkins; niece, Mona Becker; and many more family, friends and neighbors.
In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his siblings.
The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. with a service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, at Harvest Ministries Church, 1211 Anderson Road S Rock Hill, SC. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park 620 S Cherry Road Rock Hill, SC.
