Helen Elizabeth Hager

Helen Elizabeth (Skelton) Hager, 79, of Williamson Rd., Rock Hill, SC passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Piedmont Medical Center following a long illness. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Mrs. Hager is of the Baptist faith and a service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hager was born December 23, 1928 in Covington, VA. She is preceded in death by her parents: Audrey Bell (Hudkins) and Clarence Lee Skelton; her daughter: Donna Jean Boles; and her husband: Don Chilton Hager. Surviving are her daughter Dorothy (Dottie) Crowe, son-in-law David of Rock Hill; grandsons Jonathon William and Matthew Isaac Crowe of Matthews, NC along with son-in-law Elmer Boles; granddaughter Melissa Wagner; grandson Terry Meister; great granddaughters Myeisha and Natasha Wagner of Springfield, Ohio. Also surviving are one sister: Francis Quesinberry (Clayton) of Washington Court House, Ohio; two brothers: Dennis Skelton (Betty) of Lima, Ohio and Bob Skelton (Barbara) of South Vienna, Ohio; brother-in-law Albert Taylor and sister-in-law Norma Curry of St. Albans, WV; nine nieces and three nephews. Last but not least, Mrs. Hager will be greatly missed by her very closest friend of 34 years, Helen Reece of Rock Hill, SC and her precious cats, Saki-T and Millie.
