Hilda Rosa Fatone

Hilda R. Fatone, a resident of Indian Land, SC passed away from natural causes on
Tues July 31st at the age of 82. Born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico to the late Pablo
Hernandez and the late Julia Garcia she bravely traveled to the United States when
she was only 17 years old to start a new life. She was a women of stunning,
captivating beauty and grace and who was a devote Catholic.
Hilda was a devoted mother and wife who loved spending time with her family and
friends and whose smile and laughter always lit up the room. She had a great sense
of humor and loved to laugh. She always made people laugh when she would state
that she ate rocks when she was growing up, and when she used her favorite phrase
"you know nothing"! Hilda loved her flowers, especially her roses and enjoyed
spending hours in her garden.
Hilda is survived by her husband Michael L. Fatone Sr, her 4 children, Janet, Marisa,
Michael Jr, and Sandra, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 sisters and 2
brothers. She was predeceased by 3 brothers.
Hilda was greatly loved by her family and friends and will truly be missed by all,
especially her husband Michael, who wanted to thank her for the life she gave him.
There will be no services held in SC as there will be a private memorial at a later
date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dementia society of
your choice.
