Homer Lee Miller Jr.

November 11, 1938 — April 1, 2022

Homer “Lee” Miller Jr., 83, passed away Friday April 1st, 2022, at his daughter’s home in Charlotte where loving family surrounded him. He was a strong-willed man who fought his lung cancer until the very end. He beat so many odds until it was time for the Lord to take him to his eternal home.

Mr. Miller was born in Chester, SC to the late Homer Lee Miller Sr. and Helen Cornelius Carter. Lee attended and graduated Lewisville High School in Richburg, SC. He played football as a quarter back and baseball as a third baseman. Right after high school he went into the U.S. Army basic training at Fort Jackson. He attended The Citadel from 1957 to 1959. Then from June 1961 - August 1971 he was an infantry Captain in the U.S. Army and National Guard.

Lee retired from Southeastern Toyota of Tampa, FL. in 2004. Many say he could sell about anything to anyone. He was known as a mentor to many in the car business. He spent the most of his time after retirement on the golf course or at the local gun club in Douglasville GA. He was a kind-hearted man and loved being around his grandkids.

He is survived by his two daughters, Tara Miller-Bristow (Brian) of Acworth, GA., and Tara Johnson Wrigglesworth (Keith) of Charlotte, NC. His ex-wife and best friend Tracy of Charlotte, NC. His grandchildren Bennett and Carter Bristow from Acworth, GA. and Twins Carley and Ethan Wrigglesworth of Charlotte, NC.
