Irene Kirkpatrick Fudge

RICHBURG - Irene Kirkpatrick Hutchison Fudge, 68, of 3365 J.S. Gaston Road, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center. A native of York County, she was the daughter of the late Claud Nevil and Agnes Funderburk Hutchison. Mrs. Fudge was a self-employed tax preparer, worked as a postmaster relief in Edgemoor and was a homemaker. She was a member of Inspiration Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Fred Marshall Fudge; one son, Kenneth M. Fudge of Richburg; one daughter, Angela Darlene Hinson of Heath Springs; one sister, Grace Fudge-Clarke of Lancaster; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Fudge will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at Inspiration Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roland Dry officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.
