Irene Elizabeth Aubrey Klein

Irene Elizabeth Aubrey Klein, 90, of Pineville, NC and formerly of Milford, CT and New York City, NY, passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 at Carrington Place in Matthews, NC, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 27, 1929 in New York City, NY, daughter of the late John Edward Aubrey and Ann Wilkman Aubrey Cunningham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter Caspar Klein.

Irene retired from Hunter College in New York where she proudly worked for 27 years.

She is survived by her son, Peter John Klein and wife, Vanessa of Fort Mill; daughter, Janet Kocher and husband, Douglas of Fort Mill; four grandchildren, PJ Klein and wife, Denise, Paul Klein, John Klein and Lauren Kocher; and two great-grandchildren, Keegan and Palmer Klein.

Services will be privately held.
