Irene S. Price

Irene S. Price, 84, of 1501 McConnells Highway passed away Thursday August 26 2010 at Piedmont Medical Center. Mrs. Price was born in Brooklyn NY, February 10, 1926 to the late Louis and Lillian Rosen Schwartz. Mrs. Price was the Founder and Past President of the York Co. Rape Crisis Council, she was a volunteer for the Red Cross and member of Temple Beth El. In addition to her parents Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Schiff. She was the loving wife of 58 years to her husband Clyde and a loving mother to daughters Linda Reidell of Rock Hill and Lori Byers of Rock Hill that survive her. Also surviving are her sister Gladys Schultz of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 6 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday August 27, 2010 from 6-8:00pm at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Sunday at 10am at Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Rd. Rabbi Kaplan officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice and Community Care P.O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
