Jack Harold Fincher

January 3, 1930 — May 21, 2012

Jack Harold Fincher, 82, of 855 Kentwood Drive, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center. A native of Rock Hill, he was born January 3, 1930 son of the late James Frank and Nettie Lavender Fincher. He was retired from Rock Hill Printing and finishing and was a loyal member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church which he loved dearly. He was a U.S. Army Military Police veteran who served in the Korean War. Mr. Fincher was a very generous man with friends he cherished dearly. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Louise Maxine Few Fincher and a brother James Frank Fincher, Jr. Surviving are his sister Phyllis Ann Buddin and her husband Jimmy of Rock Hill; a niece Ann Buddin Self and her husband Richard; four nephews James Frank Fincher, III, James H. "Bubba" Buddin, Jr., Charles F. Buddin and his wife Wanda and David G. Buddin; a cousin June Wilson McCoy and her husband Marshall; and a special friend Anne Price. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30pm Wednesday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00am at Laurelwood Cemetery with Reverend Irvin Plowden, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 2697 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill, SC 29732 or Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993 Rock Hill, SC 29731.
