Jack Denver Thrift, age 66 of York South Carolina went to be with the Lord, Sunday November 29, 2020.
He was born December 27, 1953 in Shelby North Carolina to late Burt A. Thrift and Trucella Thomas Thrift of Rock Hill. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his daughter Sandy Thrift and one brother David Thrift.
Jack was a man with distinguished character traits such as Loyalty, Honesty, Hardworking and most of all Kind. He was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge 385 and was a Hejaz Shriner. He enjoyed Fishing, Traveling, Spending time with his family. His greatest joy was making his family happy. He had a hope in Christ that gives them peace knowing this is not goodbye.
He leaves behind a lasting legacy to be cherished by his survivors, his wife Sheila Hannon Thrift of the home, five daughters: Jerica Thrift, Jami Howsare and her husband Eric and Chloe Thrift all of York, Cindi Atchison and her husband James and Angie Thrift all of Lumpkin, GA . His mother Trucella Thomas Thrift of Rock Hill, Two brothers: Eddie Thrift and his wife Sandy of Rock Hill and Richard Thrift of Fort Mill, Mother in law: Sybil Chappelear and her husband James of York, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakewood Baptist Church, Wednesday December 2nd, 2020 at 12:00 Noon conducted by Rev. Jerry Devinney. The family will be gathering with friends one hour prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall of the Church.
