James Madison Bommelaere (60) passed away on November 13, 2021 at the Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. He was born April 23, 1961 to Ray and Mary (Samuelson) Bommelaere in Albuquerque, NM. He was married to AnnaMarie Grandmont and though it was not meant to last forever, Jim’s greatest pride and joy, Madison, was born from the union. Jim spent much of his career in the auto-body industry, both in the corporate world and as a self-employed owner. He was an animal lover and got great joy from his dogs, Homer and Cookie. Jim enjoyed a good cigar and a drink and was most at home on the beach, living much of his adult life in Florida. He lived his life day to day, making the most out of each one, individually. He is survived by his son, Madison (Alyssa) Bommelaere of Belleair, FL, Madison’s mother Anna, his mother Mary Bommelaere of Solomon, KS, sisters Leita (Bernard) Fritzson of Solomon, KS, Victoria Edmondson of Overland Park, KS, Donna (Jeff) Rohde of Cheraw, CO; 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 6 great nieces, 1 great great niece, his aunt, uncle, 2 cousins and his sea-fog-loving companion, Charlene Williams. He was preceded in death by his father Ray Madison Bommelaere, his Grandparents Romain and Velma Bommelaere and Howard and Pauline Samuelson, one aunt, one uncle, one cousin. At Jim’s request, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be spread in some of his favorite places at a later date.
