James Edward Izral

James Edward Izral, 73, of Fort Mill, and formerly of Tega Cay, died Saturday, December 5, 2020.  He was an alumni of the University of Illinois – Chicago where he played football earning MVP his Senior year.  He later was entered into their Sports Hall of Fame and was the running back Coach for a few years.  James was a member of St Philip Neri Catholic Church, the Tega Cay Vintage Club, and an avid golfer at the Tega Cay Golf Club.  He spent most of his professional career as an Independent Insurance Broker but his most important part of his life was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lottie Izral; and 2 brothers, Thomas and Frank. James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria; and his 2 daughters, Janet and Jenell Izral.  A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11:30am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with inurnment in the church columbarium.
